NTA Secures Exclusive Rights to Broadcast 2024 AFCON in Nigeria

The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) has secured the exclusive rights to broadcast all 52 matches of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

This comes after MultiChoice, the owners of DSTV and Super Sports, failed to secure the rights to broadcast the tournament on their platform.

The NTA made the announcement on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, through their official Twitter account.

The state-owned television network has signed a memorandum of understanding with Afro Sports to ensure that all 52 matches of the tournament will be available for Nigerian viewers.

This news has been met with excitement and anticipation by football fans across the country.

Many took to social media to express their delight at the announcement, with some praising the NTA for stepping up to secure the rights to the tournament.

The 2024 AFCON is set to take place in the vibrant football nation of Cote d’Ivoire, starting on Saturday, January 13, 2024, and ending on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

With the NTA now broadcasting the tournament, football fans in Nigeria can look forward to an exciting and action-packed month of football.
