The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Warri Branch, through its Environmental Pollution and Environmental Impact Monitoring Committee, has congratulated Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on the occasion of his 54th birthday.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of NSE Warri Branch, Engr. Chief Benjamin Esi, FNSE, and the Chairman of the Environmental Pollution and Environmental Impact Monitoring Committee, Engr. Queen Uche Chigbo, MNSE, the Society lauded Tompolo’s immense contributions to national economic growth and environmental sustainability.
The statement particularly highlighted the achievements of Tantita Security Services Limited, a company led by Tompolo, in tackling oil theft and pipeline vandalism. According to the NSE, these efforts have significantly curbed environmental pollution in the Niger Delta, creating a cleaner and healthier environment for the communities.
The engineers’ body also acknowledged Tompolo's commitment to rehabilitating ecosystems affected by oil spills and environmental degradation, noting that his leadership has been pivotal in preserving natural resources and promoting sustainable development in the region.
“His unwavering dedication to environmental protection and community development is truly commendable,” the statement read. “Tompolo’s initiatives have not only created jobs but also played a vital role in sustaining the ecosystem and improving the quality of life in the Niger Delta.”
"On behalf of the members of NSE Warri Branch, the Society celebrated Tompolo’s achievements and extended heartfelt wishes for good health, wisdom, and continued success in his future endeavours," the statement added.
