NNPCL Aims to End Fuel Scarcity in Nigeria Within 10 Years

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced its commitment to end fuel shortage in Nigeria within the next 10 years.

The NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, made this statement at the seventh edition of the Nigerian International Energy Summit held in Abuja.

According to a statement by the NNPCL Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, Kyari assured Nigerians that the country’s energy scarcity will be a thing of the past in the next 10 years.

The NNPCL aims to work with stakeholders to close the energy deficit gap and create prosperity for Nigerians.

Kyari emphasized the role of NNPCL as the largest partner to all oil-producing companies in Nigeria.

The company’s role in the divestment of international oil companies from onshore and shallow water assets in the country is that of a facilitator, ensuring optimal and sustainable production to guarantee energy security for the benefit of Nigerians.

This announcement by the NNPCL comes as a significant step towards addressing Nigeria’s energy issues and improving the country’s energy security.
