Nigeria's currency weakened against the dollar on Tuesday at the official market. Central Bank data put the Naira at N1,357.18, compared to N1,356.27 the previous day.

The local unit lost 90 kobo in a single session. On the parallel market, however, the Naira held steady at N1,395 per dollar.

Traders saw mixed signals across both exchange windows on the day. The country's external reserves reached $50.81 billion as of June 15th.

Monday had painted a brighter picture for the currency. The Naira had strengthened at the official market to start the week on a positive note.
