As Nigeria celebrates 64 years of independence, Dr Joseph Onojaeme, Delta State Commissioner for Health, has highlighted the country's remarkable diversity and resilience, paying tribute to the sacrifices and triumphs of past heroes.
In his address, he acknowledged the current economic challenges, which he termed an "Economic Holocaust," but urged Nigerians to be hopeful, emphasizing that Nigeria’s strength lies in its people's courage and determination to build a better and safer nation.
Dr Onojaeme called on all Nigerians, especially the people of Delta State, to nurture the seeds of nationhood sown by the country’s forbearers. He urged both individuals and communities to embrace selfless service to the state and the nation.
Reflecting on the current administration's efforts, the commissioner praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s commitment to healthcare reforms, stating that the government’s M.O.R.E agenda has made significant strides in delivering quality healthcare services. He expressed optimism about the future, assuring Deltans of continued improvements in healthcare under the governor's leadership.
He wished Nigerians, especially Deltans, a joyous 64th Independence Day celebration, reaffirming his belief in a united and prosperous Nigeria.
