Ndokwa Association in UK to hold 3-Days free diabetes awareness campaign

Ndokwa Association in United Kingdom, NAUK, has once again stressed the need for a regular medical checkup is imperative for healthy living especially with increasing health challenges faced globally.

The group stated this in a statement as a prelude to their upcoming 3-days medical outreach tagged: “NAUK National Medical Outreach 2020,” which they intend to carry out an awareness campaign on the effect and need to take issues blood diabetes serious.

According to the statement signed by the President of Ndokwa Association in United Kingdom, Mr. Ween Chukusa the campaign will run from Tuesday, March 3 to Thursday, March 5, 2020, and will hold in the three Local Government Councils of Ndokwa Nation, with three selected communities each.

The release stated further that the NAUK executive will be used as resources persons to create health awareness and also carry out health check on patients, and as parts of the programme of activities; they will carry out diagnostic analysis, medication prescription, developing procedures that supports patients, link patients to clinic for follow-ups.

The organisers further stated that the awareness campaign will also focus on sustainable screening, education, management of diabetes and its complications, as they urged the resident to take advantage of the three days exercise to get themselves checked, as it’s free.

The campaign is expected to hold for the people in Ndokwa East at Ashaka, Ossisa, and Aboh. For those from Ndokwa West, it will hold at Utagba – Uno, Onitch _Ukwuani, and Emu-Uno. And for those in Ukwuani, they team of medical Personals will be at Umutu, Umuaja, Obiaruku, Umuebu, Ebedei, and Akoku.
