Muslim group appeals for inclusion in Tinubu’s appointments

A group that goes by the name of the Concerned Muslims Forum has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be fair and inclusive in his political appointments to avoid any group feeling left out.

The group’s spokesperson, Bappa Ardo Misau, issued a statement expressing the Forum’s regret for backing the Muslim-Muslim joint ticket of Tinubu-Shettima, considering the way the administration has appointed its officials.

“We are saddened that we have not seen justice and equity in the 2023 Muslim-Muslim ticket. We put in a lot of effort to make the Muslim-Muslim Ticket a success, but unfortunately, we were let down by the outcome against Muslims in terms of rewards and compensations with political appointments.

“The Muslims who sacrificed for the Tinubu-Shettima Muslim-Muslim Ticket are ignored in the distribution of political appointments, and Mr. President has become unreachable to us. We, as concerned Muslims, want to voice our discontent and indignation over this unkind marginalisation and mistreatment of Muslims.
