Soldiers under Operation HADIN KAI rescued 92 kidnapped victims during a raid in Borno State on Saturday. The troops targeted suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP militants across the region.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the operation on X on Sunday. Personnel from the 135 Special Forces Battalion at Echo 1, Dutse Kura conducted the rescue mission.

The base sits along the Buratai-Kamuya road in Biu Local Government Area. Soldiers spotted unusual movement through their surveillance systems.

They detected terrorists transporting civilians and vehicles into bush routes nearby. A Quick Reaction Force moved in immediately to intercept them.

Troops from the 27 Task Force Brigade joined the pursuit toward Mangari-Dora. According to Makama, soldiers engaged the gunmen in combat operations.

The militants abandoned their captives and vehicles to flee deeper into the bush. All 92 victims were brought to safety successfully.

Soldiers also recovered the abandoned vehicles left by the fleeing attackers. It marked another significant blow against terrorist operations in the northeast.
