Tragedy struck in Ondo town, Ondo State, when two lovers were reportedly electrocuted during a sex romp in a new apartment in the Ayeyemi area.
The lifeless bodies of the middle-aged man, identified as Eric, and his yet-to-be-identified girlfriend were found stuck together, indicating that they were engaged in sexual activity at the time of the incident.
According to an eyewitness, the couple's bodies were discovered by relatives after they failed to answer phone calls the following day. The relatives spotted the bodies through a window and broke down the door to enter the room.
The source suggested that the lovers were electrocuted due to a possible contact with a naked wire, as a phone plugged into a power socket to charge was found on the bed. The generator was running in the premises at the time of the incident.
The bodies of the deceased were reportedly separated by a doctor. The state Police Command's spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation had commenced to determine the cause of the electrocution.
The tragic incident has left the community in shock, as the deceased lovers were known to both families. The investigation aims to uncover the exact circumstances that led to this unfortunate event and provide answers to the grieving relatives.
