Kidnappers Abduct RCCG Elder in Ogun, Demand N50 Million Ransom

A 70-year-old elder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ijebu Igbo, was kidnapped on the night of December 31, 2024, while preparing for the crossover service.

The incident has left the community in disbelief and the authorities scrambling to locate the whereabouts of the elder, Pa Adeife Ifelaja.

The kidnappers have made contact with the family and are demanding a ransom of N50 million for his safe return. The family is currently working with the authorities to secure the release of Pa Adeife.

The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has confirmed the incident and assured the public that the police are doing everything in their power to rescue the elder.

This incident has sparked outrage among the community and has brought to light the growing issue of kidnapping in the region.

The RCCG has also released a statement condemning the kidnapping and calling for the immediate release of Pa Adeife.

The family and the authorities have requested that the public remain calm and provide any information that may lead to the safe return of Pa Adeife.

They have also urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
