There was excitement among workers of Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, as the council chairman, Godwin Ogorugba, officially laid the foundation for a new council administrative complex in Ozoro, the council’s headquarters.

Accompanied by his wife, Veronica Ogorugba, councilors, the Secretary to the Council, Vote Umukoro, the Treasurer, Fejiro Elo Ogbogbo, supervisory councilors, heads of departments, and other staff members, Ogorugba expressed gratitude for the progress made and called on the contractor to ensure timely completion of the project while adhering to best practices and construction specifications.

“It is a great day, an epoch moment for us here in Isoko North Local Government, and I am truly overwhelmed by the accomplishments we have achieved in such a short time,” Ogorugba said. “As the biblical saying goes, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.’ We commit this project into God’s hands.

“I envisioned a conducive working environment, which is why I approved the construction of this complex to facilitate administrative convenience. All the projects we are undertaking are aimed at consolidating His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori's MORE Agenda at the grassroots. I have instructed the contractor to deliver this project as agreed, adhering to best practices, as the Governor’s MORE Agenda prioritizes quality,” he added.

Once completed, the new administrative complex will house all council officials, providing a modern and efficient workspace.

The ceremony also featured a prayer session led by Pastor Raphael Asotie, Resident Pastor of the Living Faith Church in Ozoro, alongside other clerics, marking the occasion with blessings for the project's success.
