Officials at the Dutse Emirate Council in Jigawa State have removed the Village Head of Tsagewa temporarily. Usaini Muhammad now faces suspension over claims he seized orphans' property.

Alhaji Amadu Malami, secretary of the emirate council, announced the action through a written statement. He said it takes immediate effect.

Multiple allegations triggered the suspension decision. Muhammad reportedly confiscated belongings from orphans and sold off community farmlands without authority.

He's been ordered to return all money in his hands within thirty days. The emirate council made this demand clear in its statement.

Village heads working under the emirate must earn public trust, the council said. They're also required to guard residents' interests and follow their official oath.
