JAMB Direct Entry 2024 Registration Begins February 28th: A Comprehensive Guide

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the Direct Entry registration process for candidates seeking tertiary education in Nigeria through the Direct Entry mode.

The registration process starts on February 28th, 2024, and closes on March 28th, 2024.

This comprehensive guide provides all the necessary information for prospective candidates to successfully register for the Direct Entry program.

Foreign candidates are also encouraged to apply, as the Board aims to maintain a level playing field for all applicants irrespective of status.

However, the Board will not process candidates’ applications from institutions that have not honored requests for the verification of their A’level certificates presented by some candidates for the 2023 admission.

To ensure a smooth application process, candidates must adhere to the following guidelines:

Candidates who are not awaiting results must have uploaded their A’level qualifications, O’level results, and the DE registration template at the point of registration.

DE candidates who are awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB must have uploaded their Admission Letter and Registration Template at the point of registration.

Applicants with Cambridge certificates of pre-2018 examination year should visit Cambridge directly for verification.

This verification exercise may take up to 28 days, after which the verification result will be forwarded to the Board.

Statement of results (in lieu of certificate) is accepted for registration only within three years of the date of award.

Candidates who wish to upgrade from UTME to DE can do so, provided their DE results have not been released at the point of UTME registration and they have indicated that they are awaiting A’level results.

The particulars of which they must have supplied and contained in the uploaded registration template.

By following these guidelines, prospective candidates can successfully register for the JAMB Direct Entry program and pursue their desired tertiary education in Nigeria.

The Board is committed to maintaining a fair and transparent admission process for all applicants.
