Gunmen abducts woman in Delta

A woman only identified as Vera, a PDP stalwart in Ughelli North Local Government Area has been abducted by unknown gunmen at her farm.
Though it is not clear if her abduction was politically motivated or criminally related.
Though efforts to reach the State Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka were fruitless, but a former PDP executive in the area confirmed the incident to Advocate Newspaper.
The source who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that some persons are currently being investigated in connection with the incident.
According to the source, “She was abducted at Oviri-Ogor area with her Audi car during a visit to her farm.”
Speaking further, he said: “She was accompanied on the trip by a man who claimed to have fled with others at the farm when the hoodlums struck.
“The matter was reported at the Ughelli ‘A’ Division police station and from investigations, the hoodlums stormed the farm without a car knowing she would be at the farm on that day and whisked her to an unknown destination.”
