Nigerians Demand Faster Passport Processing from Interior Ministry

Nigerians have called on the Ministry of Interior to expedite the process of obtaining international passports, as revealed by the feedback on the upgraded Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App.
The app, launched to enable citizens to monitor government projects, has received significant attention since its unveiling in April.
The Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App, accessible at app.cdcu.gov.ng and soon to be available on Google Play Store and Apple Store, was developed by the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU) in consultation with various stakeholders.
The app aims to provide Nigerians with information on priority projects, policies, and programs of the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu.
According to the feedback received, the Ministry of Interior has been the focus of 674 feedbacks from Nigerians, with a significant number of citizens requesting faster processing of international passports, visa on arrival, and expatriate quota.
This feedback falls under the priority category of “Strengthen National Security for Peace and Prosperity.”
The Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App was unveiled by Special Adviser To The President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala-Usman.
She emphasized the importance of the app in providing a “strong feedback loop between citizens and government” on the eight priority areas of the current administration.
The Ministry of Power has received 238 feedbacks, the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has had 155 reports, and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has received 141 reports through the app.
As the Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App becomes more widely accessible, it is expected that the feedback from the public will continue to play a crucial role in shaping government policies and improving the delivery of essential services to the Nigerian people.
