Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has dissolved his cabinet just 24 hours after being sworn in for a second term.
The dissolution of the state’s expanded executive council includes the removal of all Commissioners, Special Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, Governor Uzodimma thanked the members of the dissolved cabinet for their support and contributions to the government’s successes during his first term.
He also assured them that they will still be part of his administration, whether directly or indirectly involved.
The Governor emphasized that the new administration will require fresh ideas and enthusiasm, and he urged all political appointees to appreciate his limitations as a human being and strive to do better in the new dispensation.
He also reminded them that political appointees must live above board and avoid corrupt practices, looting of public assets, and other sharp practices.
Governor Uzodimma’s decision to dissolve the cabinet is in line with his vision for a better Imo State for all.
He is determined to make a difference in his second term and is seeking new ideas and perspectives to help him achieve this goal.
