To bolster the education sector in Zamfara State, Governor Dauda Lawal has announced the distribution of educational resources to 250 schools across the state.

The initiative, a collaboration between the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), aims to provide students with the tools necessary for a comprehensive learning experience.

During a ceremony to present the learning materials to the beneficiary schools, Governor Lawal emphasized the importance of education as the foundation of civilization.

He expressed gratitude for the support from national and international partners, which he believes will help elevate the educational standards in Zamfara State.

The materials being distributed include 242,147,000 textbooks, 203 materials for Early Childhood Care and Development Education (ECCDE), 25 ECCDE tables and chairs, 8,210 library materials, and 35 UNICEF-focused solar-powered equipment.

Governor Lawal also warned school principals against the theft of these unique solar systems, threatening dismissal for any such acts.

Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Nasir Anka, highlighted the significance of the initiative, stating that it is a collaborative effort to empower teachers and students with essential teaching and learning materials.

He further emphasized that providing quality education is not only about distributing materials but also ensuring that students can compete globally.

The distribution of educational resources to schools in Zamfara State is a crucial step in the government's commitment to prioritizing education.

By investing in the sector, Governor Lawal hopes to create a strong foundation for the state's future and enable its students to excel on par with their counterparts in other states.
