Gov Aiyedatiwa Swears in New Commissioners and Special Advisers in Ondo State

For the Ondo State Government, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has sworn in six new commissioners and eight special advisers on Friday, March 1, 2024.

The event took place in Akure, the state capital, and marked a new chapter in the state’s governance.

During the ceremony, Gov Aiyedatiwa urged the newly appointed officials to view their roles as a call to service and to provide the required leadership for the entire public service.

He emphasized that they were coming on board at a critical time and must be prepared to make necessary sacrifices to alleviate the sufferings of the people.

The governor also inaugurated the new Head of Service, Bayo Philip, who pledged to improve the state’s civil service by promoting merit-based promotions and discouraging lateness and laxity.

Philip urged the state workers to rededicate their service to the civil service and support the government in its mission.

The new commissioners sworn in are Emmanuel Igbasan, Engr Razaq Obe, Omowumi Isaac, Kayode Ajulo, Akinwumi Sowore, and Oyeniyi Oseni.

The new special advisers are Olugbenga Omole, Olamide Falana, Hon Alabi Johnson, Summy Smart-Francis, Olawunmi Ilawole, Pastor Babalola Ayoade, Abdulganiy Muhammed, and Prof. Simidele Odimayo.

The last executive council was dissolved on January 24, making way for the new appointments.

The new officials have expressed their gratitude to Gov Aiyedatiwa for the trust reposed in them and have promised to support the government in its efforts to improve the state.

The inauguration of the new commissioners and special advisers in Ondo State marks a new era in the state’s governance.

With a renewed focus on service and leadership, the new officials are expected to work together to improve the lives of the people of the state.
