Godswill FC survived relegation in the 2025-26 NNL season. The Uyo club finished seventh in Conference B with 24 points from 18 matches.
Club chairman Mrs Ekaette Akpabio praised her squad's fighting spirit throughout the campaign. She told reporters the players displayed resilience and unwavering belief when it mattered most.
According to her, the team showed sacrifice on the pitch. Akpabio noted that such commitment kept the club's survival hopes alive until the final whistle.
Looking ahead, she outlined the club's vision for future seasons. "Our ambition remains clear," she said at the end-of-season address.
"We are committed to building a football club that competes with courage, intelligence and unity while establishing a culture that prioritizes excellence both on and off the pitch."
Akpabio emphasized that player passion would drive the club's progress forward. She added that the team remains excited about the journey ahead.
