Former PDP Governors Rally Behind Earl Onaiwu’s Bid for Edo Governorship

In a significant development for the upcoming Edo State gubernatorial election, several former governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have thrown their weight behind the candidacy of Earl Osaro Onaiwu.

The endorsement comes as a major boost to Onaiwu’s campaign, as he seeks to secure the party’s nomination and ultimately win the governorship of Edo State.

The endorsement from the influential group of former PDP governors is seen as a sign of Onaiwu’s growing support within the party and his ability to unite different factions.

The former governors cited Onaiwu’s experience as the pioneer Director-General of the PDP Governors Forum and his commitment to the party’s ideals as key factors in their decision to endorse him.

In a statement, the former governors said, “Earl Onaiwu has demonstrated a deep understanding of the issues facing Edo State and has a clear vision for its future.

We believe he is the right person to lead the state forward and we are proud to endorse him for the governorship.”

The endorsement has sparked excitement among Onaiwu’s supporters and is likely to have a significant impact on the race for the PDP’s nomination.

Onaiwu is one of several candidates vying for the party’s ticket, including Asue Igbodalo, Felix Akhabue, Anslem Ojezua, Philip Shaibu, and Omosede Igbinedion.

The Edo State gubernatorial election is set to take place later this year and promises to be a closely contested race.

With the endorsement of several former PDP governors, Earl Onaiwu has emerged as a strong contender and a force to be reckoned with in the race for the governorship of Edo State.
