FG hails Super Falcons’ AWCON qualification

The Federal Government has congratulated the Super Falcons on their brilliant qualification for the 2024 African Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be held in Morocco.

The Sports Development Minister, Sen. John Owan Enoh, said the team showed a remarkable level of resolve and teamwork, clinching crucial wins during the qualifiers to cement their spot in the prestigious WAFCON.

He praised the Super Falcons for their splendid effort in demonstrating the nation’s strength on the continental level.

“The qualification of our Super Falcons for the African Women’s Cup of Nations is a proof of the devotion and skill of our extraordinary players.

“Their excellent performance showcases Nigeria’s rich sporting legacy and steadfast pursuit of excellence,” he said.

Enoh underscored the importance of women’s football in Nigeria, pointing out the vital role played by the Super Falcons in motivating young athletes and cultivating a culture of diversity and sporting excellence across the nation.
