Ekiti Government Revives Public Works Bureau for Infrastructure Development

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development in the state.

This comes as the government plans to revive the moribund Bureau of Public Works in order to enhance infrastructure development across the state.

During an inspection tour of the agency’s yard in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, Governor Oyebanji stated that the Public Works bureau would ensure frequent maintenance of roads within the state, as the government would no longer contract out road maintenance and other minor road construction works.

Accompanied by the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Sola Adebayo, the Governor emphasized that his government would support and upgrade the agency to enable it to compete favorably with other construction companies.

The Governor’s decision to reactivate the Public Works Bureau is a clear indication of his administration’s dedication to improving the state’s infrastructure and providing a better quality of life for its residents.

By investing in the Bureau, the government will be able to address road maintenance and other construction needs more efficiently and effectively.

This move is a positive step towards the development of the state and demonstrates the government’s commitment to ensuring that the people of Ekiti have access to well-maintained roads and other essential infrastructure.
