Edo Guber: Tony Kabaka Apologizes to APC Leaders, Vows to Support Party’s Candidate

Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader, Tony Adun, also known as Tony Kabaka, has issued an apology to the party leaders for leading a group of youths and women to vandalize the party’s secretariat following the outcome of the first primary election on February 17, 2024.

The incident occurred due to dissatisfaction with the conduct of the officials at the primary election, which produced three winners.

In a statement on Sunday, Kabaka expressed regret for the actions of the aggrieved APC youths and promised to work with the party to ensure that the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, emerges victorious in the forthcoming election.

He emphasized the importance of party unity and urged all members to work together for the success of the APC in the upcoming gubernatorial election in September 2024.

Kabaka acknowledged the supremacy of the party and pledged his loyalty to the APC. He also called on the state chairman, Jarret Tenebe, and state secretary, Lawrence Okah, to lead the party in rebuilding efforts and to bring all members together to ensure the party’s victory in the election.

The apology comes after a tumultuous period in the Edo State APC following the controversial primary election.

The National Working Committee of the party had to intervene and ordered a rerun on February 22, 2024, under the chairmanship of Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu.

With Kabaka’s apology and commitment to party unity, the Edo State APC hopes to move forward and focus on winning the gubernatorial election.

The party aims to present a united front to the electorate, demonstrating its ability to work together for the betterment of the state.
