Edo 2020 NSF: Team Delta stretch her lead with 20 more gold medals

Team Delta stretched it’s lead on the medals table of the ongoing National Sports Festival tagged Edo 2020 after garnering 20 gold medals on the 9th day of the games to bring it’s tally to 103 gold medals.

In spite of the intrigues and twists employed by hosts Team Edo they trail Team Delta by 28 gold medals having picked 70 gold medals.

The National Sports Festival defending champions have, however, promised to increase it’s medals haul as they were committed to returning to Asaba with the new trophy having won the last one for keeps.

Team Delta had maintained it’s dominance of the games having won seven out of the last eleven editions and a win in Edo will be the first time Team Delta will be beating Team Edo to the trophy at the games having lost narrowly to the same Edo in 2002.

The 2020 National Sports Festival will climax on Wednesday with closing ceremony taking place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City.
