Delta Trust Mortgage Bank is undergoing a significant transformation following the appointment of Hon. Jude Ogbimi as its Chairman. This leadership change has ushered in new visibility and ambition for the bank, which previously operated with limited public recognition.
Hon. Ogbimi, accompanied by the bank's Executive Director, Barrister Joshua Muhwen, recently paid courtesy visits to the Chairmen of Okpe and Uvwie Local Government Areas. The purpose of these visits was to inform local governments about the bank’s evolving role and to encourage them to capitalize on their newly-granted autonomy by partnering with Delta Trust Mortgage Bank.
Ogbimi emphasized that collaboration with the bank could play a critical role in advancing infrastructural development within the councils. He highlighted the bank’s key products, such as National Housing Fund (NHF) loans and Retirement Savings Accounts (RSA), which are aimed at benefiting civil servants, councillors, and local residents.
“These initiatives align with His Excellency’s MORE Agenda, fostering meaningful development and creating opportunities across the state,” Ogbimi stated. He pointed to a successful partnership already established with the Burutu Local Government Area, which he hopes to replicate throughout Delta State.
Under Ogbimi’s leadership, the bank’s vision is to establish Delta Trust Mortgage Bank as a leading financial institution in Delta State. He noted that the bank is leveraging the abundant opportunities available in the market as the only state-owned mortgage bank in the South-South and South-East regions.

Ogbimi’s commitment to this new phase of the bank is reinforced by his background as a forensic accountant, businessman, and politician. Known for his dynamic tenure as the representative of Isoko North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Ogbimi is expected to bring the same energy and dedication to his role at Delta Trust Mortgage Bank.
With these strategic moves, Delta Trust Mortgage Bank is poised to expand its presence, address the mortgage needs of Delta State residents, and contribute to the state’s broader development goals.
