With the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) set to kick off this weekend, the Delta State Sports Commission has officially unveiled the Delta Queens squad for the 2025/2026 season, signalling strong intent for the campaign ahead.
During the presentation ceremony in Asaba, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, assuring that the state government remains fully committed to supporting the Queens as they pursue another successful season.
Hon. Oborevwori described Delta Queens as a “symbol of pride, resilience, and excellence,” noting that their consistent achievements continue to inspire a new generation of young female footballers across the state.
As the NWFL season begins on November 26, 2025, Delta Queens will open their campaign with a pivotal away clash against Nasarawa Amazons, a matchup expected to set the tone for what promises to be a fiercely competitive and thrilling season.
