Delta Govt has outlawed collections of revenue from Keke, Okada -Agofure

Delta State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Onoriode Agofure has said that those agents across the State collecting revenue in the name of the State Government presently from tricycle operators and motorcycles in every part of Delta State are illegal revenue collectors, adding that they from the Ministry of Transportation nor the State Government.

Onoriode Agofure disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State while reacting to the illegal levies and revenue being collected by some agent deceiving innocent tricyclists and motorcycle operators in the State.

He noted that the State Government has outlawed revenue collection from Keke and Okada riders since March 2023 of this year just before the general elections.
The Transportation Commissioner stated further that the State Government is coming together to constitute the appropriate authority to collect revenue for tricycles and motorcycles across Delta State.

Asserting that those collecting revenue presently are breaching the law as their activities are highly illegal and the State has called on the Security personnel to go after these persons with these nefarious activities in the State.
