The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Comrade Friday Ovoke Warri, has called on the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Local Government, Zion Osuofa, and the Supervising Councillor for Aviara Ward 03, Mrs. Beauty Omu, to view their appointments as a call to dedicated service to the people of Isoko South.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony held on Tuesday at his office in Oleh, Warri emphasized that his administration’s “Warri for Your Worries” agenda has fully commenced. He reiterated his commitment to improving the living standards of the people and ensuring the fair distribution of democratic benefits across the local government area.
Warri assured residents that his administration will uphold its campaign promises, maintaining a gender-inclusive approach in governance. He urged the newly appointed Secretary, Zion Osuofa, to foster good relations between the council’s career officers and political appointees, ensuring a harmonious working environment.
The council chairman further advised the Secretary and other cabinet members to promote peaceful coexistence, unity, and teamwork to achieve the goals of the "Warri for Your Worries" agenda and align with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's "MORE" agenda. He also expressed his appreciation to the Delta State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Guwor Emomotimi, for the prompt screening and confirmation of Osuofa as Secretary to the Local Government.
