Delta 2019: There is fever in Delta PDP’s camp, says Emerhor

*As over 500 PDP members decamp to APC in Patani

The leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor said there is fever in the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state at the moment, following the defection of over 500 PDP members in Patani Local Government Area.  

Emerhor made this statement during an APC rally in Patani, while receiving the former PDP Chairman of Patani LGA, Hon. Vincent Oborikpo, Rev. Israel Unutame, Comr. Lewis Ekiyor and other PDP members into APC.

He thanked Unutame for leading the strong PDP leaders to join APC, saying; “Today we are receiving strong men from PDP, therefore PDP is going down and our camp has been enhanced.

“There is fever in the camp of Delta PDP right now; because when Delta PDP hard of this defection, they begin to beg them with appointment as Special Assistants and contracts, which they will pay.

“PDP is gone and I am excited about this mammoth crowd; and I tell you that Patani is moving in the right direction. Some people are yet to join us and I know their fears; but do not be afraid for APC is taking over Delta in 2019.

Emerhor assured APC faithfuls that President Buhari is not going to allow anymore rigging of elections in 2019, “because it now going to be one man, one vote, like the just concluded Anambra governorship Election.”

Also Speaking, Dr Cairo Ojougboh said, Deltans must stop a government that has no budget which is a blue print fraud.

He urged Deltans to use their weapons which is their voters’ card, to sack the unproductive 18years PDP government in the state, charging Deltans to go and register, to enable them cast their votes in 2019.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, the duo, Rev. Israel Unutame and Hon. Vincent Oborikpo in their separate statement said; “We were the people doing the dirty jobs and magic in PDP during general elections, but today we turn our back on PDP and that magic will not be done in APC come 2019.

“That is why we have led over 500 PDP women, men and youths to join APC to work with our whole hearts to bring results.

Among those who decamped include; Rev. Israel Unutame, Hon. Vincent Oborikpo, former PDP Chairman Patani LGA, Comr. Lewis Ekiyor, Mr. Otuoge James, Hon (Dr) Okpebetere, Mr. Abel Takore, Comr. Commander Samuel, Sir Prince Lawrence Babidor, Jonathan Owekeyi Bright and many others.
