Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, describing him as a “consummate political tactician” whose career has been marked by courage, strategy and unwavering commitment to public service.

In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday to mark Akpeki’s birthday, Dafinone said the celebration offered “a fitting moment to honour a man whose political journey has been defined by courage, strategy, and unwavering commitment to public service.”

The senator lauded Chief Akpeki, the Ugo of Okpe Kingdom, for his enduring contributions to democracy and party politics in Delta State, noting that his roles as a former Member of the House of Representatives and former Commissioner in Delta State added “depth, experience, and purpose to governance.”

According to Dafinone, Akpeki consistently demonstrated “a firm grasp of policy, grassroots mobilisation, and inclusive leadership,” adding that his “strategic insight has continued to shape political discourse and party cohesion in Delta State.”

Beyond elective and appointive offices, Dafinone described Akpeki as a stabilising force within the APC, saying he has remained a rallying point for party members across generations.

“Beyond his public offices, Chief Akpeki has distinguished himself as a stabilising force and rallying point within the APC, offering guidance, wisdom, and mentorship to both emerging and established political actors,” the statement read.

He added that Akpeki’s leadership as APC Chairman in Delta Central “reflects resilience, and a deep understanding of the political landscape, qualities that have strengthened the party’s presence in the district.”

Dafinone also prayed for the celebrant, asking God to grant him “continued good health, a strong mind, and His grace as he ages gracefully,” while wishing him “many more fruitful years in good health and happiness.”

Chief Akpeki is a former federal legislator, former commissioner, and a key political leader in Delta Central Senatorial District, where he currently chairs the APC.
