Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has brought succor to over 2500 constituents through the distribution of empowerment items, including grinding machines, generators, sewing machines, make-up kit, food items and other empowerment tools.

The lawmaker, who handed over the items to beneficiaries at the his
company premises in Amukpe, Delta State, urged Nigerians to exercise patience, assuring them that the government is cognizant of the prevailing economic challenges.
In his address, Senator Dafinone acknowledged the biting economic conditions, particularly affecting the vulnerable. "The economy has not been kind to Nigerians, especially those at the lower rung of the ladder," he said. "We are aware of the hunger in the land and have deemed it necessary to support the less privileged."

Justifying the government's policies amidst criticisms, the Senator stated, "The increase in fuel prices, dollar exchange rates, and food costs are outcomes of policies designed to strengthen the economy. It's like taking a bitter pill; it's unpleasant now, but it's for the long-term benefit. The government is committed to ameliorating the pains associated with these measures."
Addressing the recent protests, Dafinone emphasized that the government understands the message being conveyed. "The protests are a reflection of the people's hardship," he said. "We are taking steps to alleviate these challenges. This empowerment program is a testament to our commitment."

The APC government is responsive to people. The increase is designed to strengthen the economy and things will get better. The decision of the President is for us to adjust for the economy to take off."
He further explained, "This is the first phase of our empowerment initiative. We plan to reach more people in subsequent programs. We understand that there might be some disparities in the distribution process, but we assure you that we are working to ensure that the most deserving benefit."
The Senator commended President Tinubu for his bold decisions, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy, which he described as a long-overdue step. "The President is aware of the people's suffering and is implementing palliatives to cushion the effects," he added.

Mrs. Obakpolor Vic, the woman leader of the Dafinone Foundation and Dafinone Cooperative, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the empowerment program. "Working with Senator Dafinone has been a seamless experience," she said.
A beneficiary, Barrister Innocent Ededegba from Ughelli South, lauded the Senator for the initiative. "This gesture is a huge relief to our people, especially in these challenging times," he said.
Olorogun Adelabu Bodjor, Chief of Staff to Senator Dafinone, urged beneficiaries to make optimal use of the items. "These items are meant to empower you financially," he said. "We expect you to utilize them wisely."
Senator Dafinone who has been in the business of empowering his people for the past 18year gave out empowerment/palliatives to those who deserve it the most as beneficiaries were selected across the eight Local Governments.
