Dafinone congratulates Achoja, Alapala over Delta House of Assembly Re-run Victories

The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has congratulated Hon. Blessing Achoja and Hon. Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Delta State House of Assembly on their victory in the re-run elections held on Saturday, 3rd February.

 

Blessing Achoja emerged victorious in the election for Ethiope West State Constituency, the official results, declared by the Returning Officer, Prof. Ezekiel Agbalagba, in Oghara, showed that Achoja secured a total of 6,462 votes, defeating his closest rival, Christian Onogba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 5,057 votes.

According to Senator Dafinone, Achoja’s impressive victory highlights his grassroot acceptance, leadership qualities, and his ability to connect with the constituents he represents.

Similarly, Alapala emerged as the winner of the re-run election for Burutu State Constituency, sweeping all the contested units.

The Delta Central lawmaker noted that Alapala’s outstanding performance in Ayakoromor Unit 8, Oboro Unit 9, Enekorogha Unit 26, and Edegbene Unit 27, where he secured more than 50 percent of the votes cast, is a testament to his dedication and the trust placed on him by the people.

“His victory underscores his commitment to serving the people of Burutu and his vision for a better future for the constituency.”

Senator Dafinone commended the resilience, determination, and hard work exhibited by Blessing Achoja and Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala throughout their election campaigns, adding that their victories reflect the unwavering faith that the people of Delta State have in the APC and its candidate’s ability to effectively represent their interests and champion the concerns of their constituent.

Senator Ede Dafinone expressed confidence that Achoja and Alapala will serve their respective constituencies with utmost dedication, integrity, and commitment to development and progress.

“I wish to on behalf of the people of Delta Central congratulate you on your victories once again. By your victory, it’s crystal clear that Deltans have seen and accepted APC as the alternate party in the State. This is also an affirmation that your victory in the March 18th, 2023 election was the express will of the people.

We are confident that you will not disappoint our people and our party who entrusted you with their mandates. And as you continue in your Legislative duties, my doors are open for advice and collaboration.”

The Senator also extended his appreciation to the electoral bodies, security agencies, and all stakeholders who ensured a transparent, peaceful, and credible electoral process. Their efforts have strengthened democracy in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.

Senator Ede Dafinone wishes Blessing Achoja and Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala successful tenures filled with remarkable achievements and positive impacts on the lives of the people they represent.

He charged them to go all out and show the quality that APC is known for, assuring them of his unwavering support and collaboration in their legislative duties.
