Crew members survive as NAF helicopter crashes in Port Harcourt

A MI-35P helicopter of the NAF crashed in Port Harcourt on Friday. The NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Gabkwet, confirmed the news. He said, “The ill-fated chopper went down at 7.45 a.m. after it lifted off for a mission against the enemies of the state in Rivers.”

By a stroke of luck, all five crew members escaped the crash with minor scratches and are getting treatment at NAF Hospital Port Harcourt.” The Air Chief, Air Marshal Abubakar, is on his way to Port Harcourt to see the situation for himself, check on the crew, and issue further orders.

“Such incidents remind us of the perils of military flying and the challenges NAF pilots and technicians face in their noble duties of protecting our nation and stopping evildoers.
