The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Councilor-Elect for DISEC Ward 20, Isokolo in Ethiope East local government area in Saturday Delta State council polls, Mr Onoriode Wesley Arigbodi has applauded the outcome of the election describing as very peaceful and transparent.
Mr. Arigbodi who said that he joined the race in order to bring development to his people of Isokolo whom he said at not at par with other communities in Agbon kingdom.
speaking on the general assignment of the poll after casting his vote, he applauded DISEC for discharging its responsibility creditably well, adding that the poll was generally peaceful across his ward and Ethiope East local government area.
According to him, "I voted this morning in unit 3, DISEC Ward 20, which is federal Ward 11, in Isokolo, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State. Recall that at early hours of the day, we had a heavy downpour, but as soon as the rains subside, materials were distributed and the turnout was very impressive and election very peaceful.
On the performance of the electoral umpire Arigbodi said; "to the best of my knowledge, DISEC were on time, materials arrived at polling units on time and voting commenced immediately, the DISEC ad-hoc staff were well trained and they perform creditably," he added.
He also stated that his party will win the election overwhelming because they campaigned from House to House, every Units, Wards and across the 25 local government areas of the State.
He added that he joined the race because, "I noticed over time when I come home that my ward here in Isokolo is not at par with it peers in Ethiope East local government area, they are all well off.
"I am only coming around to bring about development both economically, socially and otherwise to make sure that our people can feel the impact of government at the grassroot."
