Chukwudi Abiandu inducted into Nigerian Institute of Public Relations

The President/ Editor-in-chief of Banner Communication Network, publishers of banneronlinenews.com, Deacon Chukwudi Abiandu has been inducted into the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

The induction which was done by zoom on Friday, December 1, 2023, had a total of 327 new inductees that took the NIPR oath of professional and ethical allegiance.

Deacon Abiandu, a graduate of Mass Communication, who is also the Founder/ Principal Consultant, Chukson Public Relations Consults, a firm of Public relations Consultants joined the induction programme along with 326 others by zoom to take the NIPR oath.

Among the NIPR members of Council at the impressive event were Prof. Dan Daura (FNIPR), Prof. Oke Ikechukwu (FNIPR), who spoke on behalf of the vice chairman of the Council, congratulated the new inductees for on their graduation into the NIPR fold and commended them for the resolve to obey the ethics of the NIPR and to be responsible and professional Public Relations Practitioners. ‘I urge you to take hold and study the Public Relations Code of ethics,” Ikechukwu said, pointing out that it is important that the new inductees understand the principles and the professional expectations in the practice of Public Relations.

He said the NIPR was entering into a new dawn and that being a product of the 1990 Act CAP N 114 Laws of Nigeria, inductees are advised to go and read the law setting up NIPR.

Prof. Ikechukwu proposed that it is the duty of Public Relations practitioners to help the nation achieve value reorientation and the need to create awareness for Nigerian products through operation made in Nigeria goods among others.
