Bolaji Abdullahi is confident the African Democratic Congress will win in 2027. Speaking on Channels Television Monday, the party's national publicity secretary backed the Atiku-Amaechi ticket.

He believes the pair can beat President Bola Tinubu decisively. Abdullahi described them as a formidable combination ready to lead Nigeria.

Every ADC presidential aspirant ran with strong credentials, he argued. According to him, any of them would outperform the current administration.

"Whether it's Atiku or Rotimi Amaechi or Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, they'll do far better than what President Bola Tinubu is doing," Abdullahi told the network. He made this point while defending the party's lineup.

Atiku's emergence as presidential candidate has boosted party morale significantly. Amaechi stepping in as running mate further strengthens their prospects, he noted.

The ADC will field candidates in 2027, Abdullahi confirmed. He disclosed plans to formally present the ticket to Nigerians soon.

Amaechi contested the primary but lost to Atiku. He was announced as vice-presidential candidate on Monday following the results.

Abdullahi defended the primary process as transparent and credible. No irregularities marred the exercise, in his assessment.

Major parties are already positioning for the election cycle ahead. Tinubu leads the All Progressives Congress campaign effort as their candidate.

Peter Obi flies the Nigeria Democratic Congress flag into 2027. Atiku previously contested under the Peoples Democratic Party but switched camps.

In 2023, Tinubu secured over eight million votes nationwide. Obi and Atiku each garnered more than six million votes respectively.
