Bellingham surpasses Ronaldo’s record at Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid midfielder, broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s record at Los Blancos on Sunday after scoring in their 3-0 La Liga triumph over Cadiz.

Bellingham netted a goal with 16 minutes left as Real Madrid continued their league campaign with a win against Cadiz after the international break.

The England international has been a sensation since his £88.5 million transfer to Carlo Ancelotti’s team from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with 14 goals in 15 games so far for his team.

His latest goal against Cadiz made him the only player in Real Madrid’s history to score more than 13 goals in their first 15 games.

Ronaldo also had a great start to life at Real Madrid after his £80 million move from Manchester United back in 2009, scoring 13 goals in his first 15 games in all competitions.

But the Portugal captain could only match the standard set by the club’s former players, Alfredo Di Stefano in 1953 and Pruden in 1943.

However, Bellingham’s latest feat also puts him ahead of other former Real Madrid stars, including Ferenc Puskas (11 goals) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (9 goals).
