Nigel Reo-Coker believes Arsenal would prefer Bayern Munich as their Champions League final opponent over Paris Saint-Germain. The former West Ham and Aston Villa midfielder made this assessment after the Gunners beat Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

Arsenal secured their spot in the final with a 1-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium. Bukayo Saka scored the decisive goal in that semi-final second leg clash.

According to Reo-Coker, Arsenal's preference stems from confidence built earlier this season. "They probably would want to face Bayern Munich because they have got the confidence of beating them," he noted via CBS Sports Golazo.

Bayern Munich and PSG will contest the other semi-final to determine Arsenal's final opponent. Vincent Kompany's side already lost 3-1 to Arsenal during the league phase of European competition.

That earlier defeat appears to have convinced Reo-Coker that Arsenal holds a psychological edge. Bayern's vulnerability, he suggests, makes them the more attractive prospect for the Gunners.
