Army Arrests Soldier Who Lambasted Sanwo-Olu In Viral Video

The Nigerian Army has arrested a soldier who lambasted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State in a viral video.

The arrest comes after the soldier criticized the governor for ordering the arrest of a colleague and some commercial motorcyclists (Okada riders) for driving against traffic on the Lagos-Badagry expressway.

The Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, confirmed the arrest and emphasized that the conduct of the soldier caught driving against traffic does not represent the entire Nigerian Army.

He also clarified that only one authentic video was investigated, and the unidentified soldier involved had been apprehended.

The incident has sparked a debate on social media, with many users expressing their opinions on the matter. Some have criticized the soldier for his actions, while others have defended him, arguing that he was simply standing up for his colleague.

Governor Sanwo-Olu has urged the public to remain calm and assured them that the situation is being handled by the appropriate authorities.

He also reiterated his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Lagos residents.
