Armed gunmen believed to be kidnappers struck in Oyo State on Monday, making off with one resident. Three attackers stormed Ago Aare in the Oke Ogun zone around 10:20 p.m.
The abducted man has been identified as Wasiu Aleshinloye. Another community member sustained injuries during the assault.
Police confirmed the incident on Tuesday through their spokesperson. Olayinka Ayandale, the Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, verified the report in an official statement.
"A case of abduction was reported at Tede Division on 11/05/2026 at about 2220hrs," Ayandale noted. He confirmed one person was wounded in the attack.
