Father Ekabo stated this at a special thanksgiving service at the St Patrick Catholic Church in Sapele, Delta State, to mark his 63rd birthday celebration of Chief Anirah.

Ekabo who led the congregation in wishing the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chieftain, a happy 63rd birthday, said; “ when i was transferred here, he came to meet me quietly and the first thing was requesting for students who, the Foundation would give scholarship and since then the church has continue to benefit from his foundation programmes.

“He has not only sponsored students from this church; but has continue to treat people eye problem and other medical services through his Foundation” he said, before leading the  recitation and prayers for the Chief Anirah.

Speaking earlier, Chief Anirah a former Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State said few days ago, he had nurtured the thought of being in church, his health situation then made many to believe it was impossible to be physically present in church for the thanksgiving.

The APC Chieftain added that he made it to Church on Sunday was enough reason to give gratitude to God, adding that the best way to be grateful for God’s blessing in his life is to continue to give back to the society through his Foundation.

Anirah, who was visibly happy with his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Eunice Anirah, said; “Few days ago, a friend came to see me and when I told him how I intend celebrating this year’s birthday in church here, he looked at me and said, it’s a good idea but how will you be in Church in this condition. I looked at him and said there is nothing impossible for God to do, now I am standing before you, this alone deserves thanksgiving.”
