Emerhor, Ochei mourns Ugbaja, says his demise is an irreparable loss

Delta APC Leader and member of the APC National Caucus Committee, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and a stalwart and former speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Victor Ochei has expressed sadness at the passing on of DIG Donald Ugbaja (retd).

The two APC chieftains in their separate condolence message to Ugbaja’s family, Delta APC leaders and members expressed shock at the news of the death of the APC chieftain, describing it as irreparable loss.

Olorogun Emerhor in a press statement signed by his Media Aide, Aghogho Orotomah, described the death of former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Chief Donald Ugbaja as shocking and a loss too great to comprehend.

According to him, “the late DIG Ugbaja was a father figure to me and the entire Delta APC family who always stood for what is right at all times. A well respected elder who always played the statesman at all times”.

Emerhor stated further that late DIG Ugbaja’s forthrightness, dedication, and quest to redeem Delta State from the hands of the usurpers was never in doubt. “It is in this light that loosing such a commander at this auspicious time is most traumatic and incomprehensible! It is indeed a grave time of mourning, he declared!

“While we must defer to God almighty in this unbearable loss,” Emerhor, however, said that these times call for special prayers and support for his immediate family.

He also extended his special condolences particularly to Chief Hyacinth Enuha, a close associate of the late DIG, while praying to God to provide Chief Enuha the strength to bear this irreparable and irreplaceable loss.

Emerhor also condoles with the entire Delta APC family and pray that Almighty God to console and grant us the fortitude to carry on, even as he prays for the repose of the soul of the faithful departed in God’s perfect peace.

Former speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Victor Ochei in his condolence message to the Ugbaja family, said the death of the elder statesman was regrettable, more so as it occurred when his invaluable experience would have been brought to bear in the affairs of the party(APC) in Delta state.

According to him, “the late Ugbaja distinguished himself in his profession as a law enforcement officer and an exemplary patriarch who bequeathed enduring positive legacies to his offspring, family, his town Igbodo, the Ika nation, Delta state, Nigeria and humanity.

While urging the family to be consoled by the fact that death is inevitable, the speaker emeritus prayed the almighty God to avail the family and associates of the departed icon, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, adding that late DIG Ugbaja would be greatly missed.
