Senator Ned Nwoko has emphasized that the renewed drive for the creation of Anioma State transcends political affiliations, describing it as a movement with deep roots in Delta North and widespread resonance across Delta State.

During a courtesy visit to the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof. Epiphany Azinge, the Senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly highlighted the critical need for collective support to actualize the long-standing dream.

"The creation of Anioma State is not about political parties but a shared aspiration that unites all Anioma sons and daughters," Senator Nwoko said. He disclosed that the project had already been discussed with key stakeholders, including President Bola Tinubu, the leadership of the Senate, and the House of Representatives.

Recounting the Asagba's historic support for Anioma State during a previous visit to Abuja, Nwoko added: "This is a mission that requires your blessings, advice, and unwavering support to make it a reality. Anioma State will bring unity, development, and closer governance to our people."

The Senator assured the revered monarch and Anioma citizens that the push for statehood remains steadfast. "When the time comes for critical decisions, I will return to consult with you and our people. This movement is a spirit, a collective call that cannot be tied to any single political platform."
