The Chief Adviser to the Governor, Senator Ighoyota Amori, has applauded the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau (DSOCB) for its efforts in raising awareness about the state government's policies, programs, and achievements.
Chief Amori gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by the Bureau’s Director-General, Dr. Fred Oghenesivbe, and his management team to his office in Asaba.
Praising the Bureau’s proactive approach, he noted that DSOCB was the first agency to visit him since he assumed office. He highlighted their extensive sensitization efforts across Delta State, particularly the recently concluded first phase of the Drug Free Delta Campaign.
"That campaign will serve as a turning point for many," Chief Amori remarked. "It was highly educative, not just for students but for adults as well. Your activities have effectively promoted this administration across the country and beyond."
Reflecting on his long career in governance, Chief Amori emphasized that his appointment was a natural progression, given his vast experience. He lauded Dr. Oghenesivbe’s dedication to ensuring the government’s activities are widely known and pledged continued collaboration with the Bureau to ensure government initiatives reach all corners of the state.
"I need your support, so this synergy is a welcome development," he stated.
Clarifying the broad mandate of his office, Senator Amori stressed that his role transcends partisan politics or regional affiliations. "The advice I offer to His Excellency is based on thorough research and analysis for the benefit of all Deltans," he explained. "The Governor is doing a lot, and he needs the right information to do even more."
Dr. Oghenesivbe, in his remarks, outlined upcoming initiatives, including the Delta Value Charter, which aims to create a value-driven culture among Deltans. Chief Amori expressed his strong support for the initiative, aligning it with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE agenda.
"I am willing to support this program because it aligns with the administration’s vision," he affirmed.
Earlier, Dr. Oghenesivbe had praised Chief Amori’s leadership and political acumen, attributing his own successes within the administration to Amori’s guidance.
"My political journey in Delta State has been shaped by Senator Amori," he acknowledged. "His first official assignment after his appointment as Chief Adviser was at the flag-off of the Drug Free Delta Campaign. This synergy is something I value greatly, and I want it to continue."
Dr. Oghenesivbe also reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to working closely with the Chief Adviser’s office to effectively disseminate government information across Delta State.
