After the NLC and TUC suspend their strikes, EEDC restores electricity to Imo and other areas

Electricity is back in Imo State and other places that get power from EEDC, thanks to the end of the strike by the workers’ unions.

That’s the good news from Emeka Ezeh, the spokesperson of EEDC, who said in a statement on Thursday:

“We at EEDC are happy to tell our valued customers that we have resumed power supply after the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) called off their industrial action.

“This means that all our power sources from the TCN stations were switched on last night, and our feeders are now working, except those that have faults.

“Also, the Egbu TCN station, which serves our customers in Imo State, got power back last night,” the statement said.

This comes a day after the company announced a loss of power supply in some of its areas.
