Afenifere Sacks Adebanjo as Acting Leader, Constitutes Elders Caucus

The pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, has made significant changes to its leadership structure.

The group has removed Pa Ayo Adebanjo from his position as the Acting Leader and has also abolished the role of Deputy Leader.

The decision was announced at the monthly general meeting of the group, which was held at the residence of the National Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The move was made to rejuvenate and reposition the organization in light of recent events and pressing needs.

In place of the Acting Leader and Deputy Leader positions, Afenifere has now constituted an Elders Caucus, comprising 21 members.

Pa Reuben Fasoranti will serve as the Chairman of the caucus, while other members include prominent figures such as Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Oba Olu Falae, Senator C. O. Adebayo, and many others.

The responsibilities and authority of advising the leader of Afenifere and Asiwaju Yoruba will now be vested in the newly formed Elders Caucus.

This change is aimed at strengthening the organization and ensuring that it remains a strong voice for the Yoruba people.

In conclusion, the Afenifere group has undergone a significant restructuring, with the removal of Pa Ayo Adebanjo from his position as Acting Leader and the creation of an Elders Caucus to advise the group’s leadership.

This move is expected to bring new energy and direction to the organization as it continues to advocate for the interests of the Yoruba people.
