The Zamfara State Environmental Sanitation and Enforcement Agency plans to shift tactics for its monthly sanitation drives after seeing residents embrace the exercise more enthusiastically. Muhammad Zangina Abdullahi Yarin Gusau, the agency's chairman, made this known following July's successful sanitation exercise in Gusau, where he was represented by Alhaji Sani Muhammad Mayanci, permanent member I.

The high turnout showed residents now understand why keeping their environment clean matters, he said. "The agency is considering a new dimension to further strengthen and sustain the sanitation programme across the state," Gusau noted.

He praised residents who followed sanitation guidelines, crediting their cooperation for the exercise's success. Gusau also had a message for those who didn't participate: the drives protect public health, keep communities clean, and stop diseases from spreading.
