Four Nigerian Afrobeat superstars have landed nominations at the 2026 BET Awards. Wizkid, Asake, Burna Boy, and Tems made the cut when organizers unveiled the nominations on Tuesday.
Los Angeles will host the ceremony on June 28, 2026. Comedian Druski will take the hosting duties, with live coverage on BET and ET.
Wizkid and Asake earned a joint nod in the Best Group category. Their collaborative work and string of chart successes caught the awards' attention.
Tems secured three separate nominations across major categories. She's in contention for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and the BET Her Award.
Her song "Raindance," a partnership with Dave, is nominated for Viewers' Choice Award. Burna Boy also made waves with a Best Collaboration nomination.
His feature appearance on Gunna's track "WGFT" earned him recognition in that category. BET Awards ranks among the world's most prestigious platforms celebrating Black culture and artistry.
