Reality TV star Hazel Onou, known as Whitemoney, has complained about dating culture in Nigeria, jokingly asking followers for a "referral code" to find a suitable partner. The 34-year-old Big Brother Naija Season Six winner vented his frustration in a video he posted on Instagram on Sunday.
"I can't even lie, I'm getting old. Dating culture in Nigeria is becoming something else," he said in the clip.
"Abeg, where them dey see better woman now? Una get referral code?"
He went on to joke that everything comes with a price tag in modern dating. "Any small thing, billing.
Small hello, billing. How are you?
Billing," he added.
The lighthearted complaint sparked a wave of reactions online. Some fans backed his view, saying dating has grown increasingly difficult.
Others disagreed, suggesting he was simply looking in the wrong circles. One user, @paulwains, wrote: "This is me few mins ago man.
Not just in Nigeria, dating culture in the world messed up man."
Another commenter, @kaluukanwa, countered: "Better woman full everywhere, even in this Lagos, but sadly they aren't your spec."
@vickyblinks_1 also teased the entertainer, saying: "E dey but una dey find una fellow celebrity."
Whitemoney turned 34 on June 6. He shot to fame after winning Big Brother Naija's sixth season in 2021 and has stayed active in entertainment and music.
