WAEC Introduces Computer-Based Exams For Private Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it will soon introduce a computer-based examination (CBE) for its candidates. This means that instead of using paper and pencil to write the exam, candidates will use computers to answer the questions.

The statement, which was signed by the acting Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, Moyosola Adesina, said that the CBE will start with WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2024—First Series, which is scheduled for February 2024.

The statement said that the CBE is in line with global best practices and that WAEC is committed to providing quality and reliable assessment for its stakeholders.
